Hello, I’m Charles Parkinson, and I am standing as an independent candidate in the General Election on 18 June.

I have held senior positions in Guernsey politics for most of the last 20 years, and I believe that I ws successful in my roles as Minister of Treasury & Resources, President of the States Trading Supervisory Board and President of the Committee for Economic Development.

I am perhaps best known for my opposition to Zero-10 and to GST, but my views on social policy are very liberal and I have supported the extension of antii-discrimination legislation. In terms of environmental policy, I have championed the circular economy and the recycling of solid waste.
